Americans Believe Politicians Forget Promises Once Elected
According to a survey from the Pew Research Center, nearly 8 in 10 Americans say that they do not trust the federal government and have little faith that it can solve the nation’s problems.
As per the survey, nearly half of the people questioned said that the government negatively affects their daily lives, 22% people said that they can trust Washington most of the time and 19% people said that they are content with the government.
Cindy Wanto, a registered Democrat from Nemacolin, PA said, “The government's been lying to people for years. Politicians make promises to get elected, and when they get elected, they forget their duties.”
