Wheat Slightly Higher

USDA weekly export inspections for wheat were 401,937 tons versus estimates of 360,000 tons. Continued fighting in the Ukraine has been supportive. May Chicago Wheat is trading at 533 1/2, up 1 3/4 cents. May Kansas City Wheat is trading at 564 1/4, up 1 1/2 cents. Weather talk for the wheat market continues to be a focus. Better temperatures in Europe has led traders to put less emphasis a weather premium for wheat prices. Reports coming out of France show that French plantings are up 3 percent. French agriculture officials have rated their crop 92 percent versus 74 percent last year. German plantings are higher than last year.
