USDA Daily Hog Slaughter; Lean Hog Futures New Contract Lows

Tuesday's USDA Hog slaughter was 440,000 head versus a year ago at 428,000 head. October lean hogs are trading at 51.85, down 1.20 cents /lb. December lean hogs are trading at 46.67, down 1.92 cents/lb. February lean hogs are trading at 51.55, down 1.40 cents/lb. Front month lean hog futures set new contract lows today. Trading was active and choppy.
