Sprint S reported a net loss in the second quarter.
Sprint posted a quarterly loss of $1.6 billion, versus a year-ago loss of $1.4 billion.
Its revenue rose to $8.88 billion from $8.84 billion, beating analysts' estimates of $8.73 billion.
Sprint's wireless service revenue rose 8% to $7.2 billion.
Sprint shares closed at $5.74 yesterday.
