Finish Line FINL reported a 6.1% rise in its fiscal second-quarter earnings.
Finish Line's quarterly profit surged to $26.5 million, or $0.54 per share, from $25 million, or $0.49 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its sales rose 13% to $436 million. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.45 per share on revenue of $426 million.
Its same-store sales increased 0.9%, while gross margin shrank to 33.6% from 34.9%
Finish Line shares jumped 7.73% to $24.12 in pre-market trading.
