DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Private, luxury destination club Inspirato announced today plans to take control of and transform the spacious, high-vaulted restaurant space that most recently housed Charlie Palmer's District Tavern on Wazee Street in lower downtown Denver into office and event space.

“We launched Inspirato in LoDo and are committed to staying in and contributing to the neighborhood as we grow,” explained Brent Handler, the company's founder and CEO. “The additional space will provide a hip, fun environment for our staff during the day, and a unique venue for private events at night.”

Inspirato will adjoin the new restaurant space with its existing office space immediately above, and accommodate all Colorado-based staff underneath one roof. The company's new lease also includes District Tavern's former sister restaurant, Wazee Wood Fire Pizza, as well as the never-before-occupied garden level. Inspirato plans to keep the pizza oven, as well as the Tavern's professional-grade kitchen and expansive bar.

Acquilano Leslie, the design firm that recently completed work on the innovative DaVita World Headquarters building, has been tapped to renovate the additional two floors for Inspirato. Work is scheduled to begin next month and is expected to be largely complete by the end of the year.

Prior to Charlie Palmer's restaurants, the space previously housed other notable restaurants, including Il Fornaio and Big Game.

“Being headquartered in a vibrant, exciting neighborhood like LoDo is a big part of Inspirato's culture,” said Handler. “We are really looking forward to utilizing this amazing space, with its kitchen and pizza oven, and creating a truly unique work environment.”
