BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Caregivers from long term care facilities (nursing homes) around the Broward and Palm Beach County areas will be honored by Sen. Ellyn Bogdanoff (R-Ft. Lauderdale) on Friday, November 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Stratford Court of Boca Raton — a full-service continuing care community that provides independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. The Quality Care Celebration Event will highlight the successful leadership and commitment of caregivers for the high-quality, long term care they deliver to Florida seniors and will honor seven local facilities for earning the American Health Care Association's (AHCA) 2012 National Quality Award. The event will show a message of unity among the profession and celebrate caregivers to highlight the quality care and quality of life being delivered to Florida's more than 71,000 long term care residents.

In 2012, 38 Florida facilities received the 2012 National Quality Award. Locally, Boynton Health Care Center in Boynton Beach earned the Silver Quality Award, while Bronze Awards went to Stratford Court Boca Raton; Whitehall Boca, Boca Raton; Wilton Manors Health and Rehabilitation Center, Ft. Lauderdale; Jupiter Medical Center Pavilion, Jupiter; Lakeside Health Center, West Palm Beach; and Rehabilitation Center of The Palm Beaches, West Palm Beach.
