"It's heartening to see how people have come together," said Gov. Cuomo after helping to unload supplies from a Convoy of Hope truck. "You literally have people from across the country that have come in to help."

In addition to the relief site in Long Beach, New York, a Convoy of Hope tractor-trailer load of supplies was distributed in Bayonne, New Jersey, with the help of volunteers bringing the total distribution in the community to more than 60,000 pounds. Times Square Church in the Theatre District of Manhattan, New York City, New York, has also received the first of several planned deliveries.

“We have 500 tons in aid committed to our relief efforts in New York and New Jersey, thanks to our many generous partners,” says Hal Donaldson, president of Convoy of Hope. “We know there are many people suffering in the Northeast and we're committed to doing what we can to help those who are trying to rebuild their lives.”
