Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), the financial settlement link between airlines and travel sellers, reported today that the consolidated dollar value of airline tickets sold by U.S.-based travel agencies decreased 0.94 percent* for the first half of 2015, compared to the same period in 2014, totaling $48.0 billion vs. $48.5 billion. June 2015 ticket sales increased slightly by 0.29 percent to $7.6 billion against the same month last year.
Ticket transactions increased by 4.86 percent in 2015 vs. 2014 to 81.2 million. Passenger segments increased 1.5 percent to 189.4 million, compared to 186.5 million in 2014.
