2016 Volkswagen Beetle Classic Convertible Now Available

During the 2015 model year, Volkswagen Canada delivered a real Beetle Classic, one that combined the best of the new with the most sought-after touches of the old. The Beetle Classic was a hit with consumers, its elegant look capturing the attention of modernists and traditionalists alike.

Volkswagen is pleased to introduce the 2016 Beetle Classic Convertible. Powered by a 1.8 litre, turbocharged direct injection engine with 170 horsepower delivered through a six-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic, the Classic Convertible is very well equipped. From its 17" "Heritage" alloy wheels to the rear spoiler, the look is...very classic.

Inside, fashionistas will delight in the unique, two-tone cloth and leatherette seats and colour-matched dash and door sills. The fully-automated, power-operated top can be raised and lowered in around 10 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h, and is now dyed a shade of "Sioux Brown" that perfectly contrasts the interior.

The Classic Convertible is full of thoughtful touches, from the leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel to the all-new "Discover Media" touchscreen infotainment system, with integrated navigation. This is from Volkswagen's all-new-for-2016 radio lineup, and features "App-Connect" smartphone integration, which unlocks the world of Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link, delivering seamless connectivity and minimizing driver distraction.

When it comes to the Classic Convertible, it's all down to the look. A choice of 4 exterior shades including Reflex Silver Metallic, Moonroock Silver Metallic, Pure White and Deep Black Pearl will allow Canadians to personalize their car. No need to tick off any option boxes on the order sheet, as all features are standard.
