The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation Pledges to Donate $130,000 to Domestic Violence Shelters Across Canada

MISSISSAUGA, ON --(Marketwired - August 16, 2015) - The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation's annual shelter grant giving program begins on August 16th, encouraging domestic violence shelters and/or outreach programs in provinces and territories across Canada to apply.

"Thanks to the generous contributions to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation in 2014 by the Mary Kay independent sales force, their customers and consumers, we're pleased to share the Foundation is continuing its Shelter Grant program by offering a $10,000 grant to a shelter in each province/territory throughout Canada," said Dawn Gerry, Director of the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation and National Director of Marketing for Mary Kay Cosmetics Ltd. "Shelters contribute more than a safe place to stay. They provide vital services that support women who have experienced abuse, and a place to rebuild their lives and much needed self-esteem."
