LEXINGTON, Mass., June 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Aldeyra Therapeutics, Inc. ALDX (Aldeyra), a clinical-stage biotechnology company devoted to treating inflammation, inborn errors of metabolism, and other diseases related to aldehyde toxicity, today announced that novel data on the anti-inflammatory mechanism and activity of ADX-102 in a model of acute inflammatory lung injury has been accepted for presentation at the 2017 World Congress on Inflammation to be held on July 8 - 12 in London, United Kingdom.

The poster presentation will highlight the differentiated effects of ADX-102 on inflammatory cell migration and activation, lung function, and biochemical mediators of inflammation in a mouse model of endotoxin-induced lung injury.

ADX-102, a novel aldehyde sequestering agent, has been shown in animal models to reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines, decrease tissue edema in allergic and contact dermatitis, reduce healing time and fibrosis in radiation-induced mucositis, and diminish inflammatory pain.  In Phase 2 clinical trials in patients with noninfectious anterior uveitis and allergic conjunctivitis, two ocular inflammatory diseases, ADX-102 was statistically superior to control in reducing inflammation.

Details of the presentation are as follows:

Title:

Activity of the novel aldehyde trap, ADX-102, in LPS-induced
Acute lung injury
