Kia Canada Inc. reports 6,802 vehicles sold in March

• March sales were up 7.2 per-cent
• Top performing vehicles in March included award winning Sorento and Forte
• Niro receives 2018 Canadian Green Utility Vehicle of the Year award

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, April 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kia Canada Inc. reported today 6,802 total vehicles sold for the month of March, a 7.2 per cent increase versus the same time period in 2017.  March sales were led by Sorento Sport Utility Vehicle (1,513 units), resulting in a strong 13.6 per cen increase versus the same period in 2017.  Other notable performers include Forte Compact family (1,465 units), Sportage Compact Utility Vehicle (1,043 units) and Soul Urban Utility Vehicle (880 units).

Also in March, at the Vancouver International Autoshow, the Kia Niro was announced as overall winner of the 2018 Canadian Green Utility Vehicle of the Year by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).
