<p>NAT&rsquo;s concentrated fleet remains well positioned for a global recovery in global crude oil consumption with the potential for upside operating leverage, Burke notes.</p>
<p>The company reported a Q2 FY23 revenue of $67.80 million, missing the&nbsp;<a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/23/08/g34064509/nordic-american-tankers-ltd-nyse-nat-report-june-30-2023-first-half-2023-the-direction-of-nat-is-u" style="background-image:initial; background-position:initial; background-size:initial; background-repeat:initial; background-attachment:initial; background-origin:initial; background-clip:initial; margin-top:0pt; margin-bottom:0pt; color:#4a6ee0" target="_blank">consensus of $68.32 million</a>. EPS for the quarter improved to $0.13 from a loss per share of $(0.02) in Q2 FY22,&nbsp;<a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" style="background-image:initial; background-position:initial; background-size:initial; background-repeat:initial; background-attachment:initial; background-origin:initial; background-clip:initial; margin-top:0pt; margin-bottom:0pt; color:#4a6ee0" target="_blank">missing the consensus of $0.14</a>.</p>
<p>The improvement in daily revenue per vessel was driven by expectations for higher Y/Y global crude consumption, Burke adds.</p>
<p>Q2 also gained from a strengthening market for Suezmax vessels with the shifting trade patterns caused by the EU ban on Russian oil and 1M barrels per day (bpd) production cut from Saudi Arabia, notes the analyst.</p>
<p>According to the analyst, the company has also capitalized on a solid spot rate environment to reduce earnings volatility by fixing a percentage of its fleet on longer-term fixed-time charters.</p>
<p>It is anticipated that the Saudi supply gap will be filled by other Middle East producers and the U.S., Brazil, and Mexico and shift trade patterns towards producers that are traditional markets for smaller crude carriers such as Nordic American&rsquo;s Suezmax vessels.</p>
<p>The analyst adds that the production shift will also further increase overall crude vessel ton-mile demand.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The company&rsquo;s Suezmax fleet also benefited from the sourcing of crude by the EU from non-Russian producers, including Africa, the U.S., and Latin America.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Suezmax rates should see a further jump from stepped-up production out of Guyana.</p>
<p><strong>Price Action:&nbsp;</strong>NAT shares are trading higher by 4.41% to $4.1450&nbsp;on the last check Tuesday.</p>

For the same period, <a href="https://d1io3yog0oux5.cloudfront.net/_1d25dd0bb44c534c565695650095d253/ringenergy/news/2024-03-07_Ring_Energy_Announces_Record_Fourth_Quarter_and_210.pdf">adjusted EBITDA growth</a> was 21% on a year-on-year basis to $236 million. I believe as oil trends higher, the company will be positioned for healthy EBITDA and cash flow growth.</p>



<p>Ring Energy has also pursued multiple acquisitions in the last few years. With leverage at 1.62x, I expect opportunistic acquisitions to continue driving production growth.</p>



<h2>Nordic American Tankers (NAT)</h2>

As an overview, Nordic American is a provider of crude oil tankers. Currently, the company has a <a href="https://www.nat.bm/fleet/">fleet size</a> of 20 tankers.</p>



<p>An important point to note is that for 2023, Nordic reported an <a href="https://ml-eu.globenewswire.com/Resource/Download/648c65ac-52cd-4cc0-a68a-e7ab44d7fd9e">average time charter equivalent rate</a> of $39,170 per day per ship. For the same period, the company&rsquo;s operating cost per day per ship was $9,000. Therefore, with robust TCE rates, the company has delivered strong cash flows.</p>



<p>I must add here that NAT&rsquo;s debt currently stands at $11.6 million per vessel. With low leverage, there is a case for fleet expansion if healthy TCE rates sustain.</p>



<h2>Athabasca Oil (ATHOF)</h2>

I, however, believe the stock remains attractively valued and is likely to double from current levels of $3.9.</p>



<p>The first positive is that Athabasca Oil has a strong reserve base with 1.2 billion barrels of oil equivalent of proved reserves. Further, contingent resources stand at one billion BOE. The company&rsquo;s 2P reserves have a <a href="https://www.atha.com/media/attachments/2024/02/29/aoc-ir-deck-02-29-2024-q4-results1.pdf">net present value (NPV10)</a> of $5.3 billion, and Athabasca has a current market valuation of $2.2 billion. That puts into perspective the extent of undervaluation.</p>



<p>Another point to note is that the company reported an adjusted fund flow of $295 million for 2023. For the current year, Athabasca has <a href="https://www.atha.com/uploads/AOC_Q4_2023_Press_Release_02-29-2024.pdf">guided for an AFF</a> of $460 million along with free cash flow of $325 million. Further, between 2024 and 2026, the company expects more than $1 billion in free cash flows. KGC stock trades at an attractive forward price-earnings ratio of 18.4 and offers a dividend yield of 1.96%. Besides capital gains, I expect robust growth in dividends in the coming years.</p>



<p>An important point to note is that multiple rate cuts might be due in the next 12 to 18 months. Gold is likely to remain in an uptrend and Kinross will benefit on the back of higher realized gold prices.</p>



<p>Specific to the Company, an investment grade balance sheet will allow for aggressive investments. As of Q4 2023, Kinross reported a <a href="https://www.kinross.com/news-and-investors/news-releases/press-release-details/2024/Kinross-reports-2023-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-results/default.aspx">liquidity buffer of $1.9 billion</a>. Further, the operating cash flow for 2023 was $1.7 billion. With gold trending higher, it&rsquo;s likely that OCF will be more than $2 billion. This adds to the flexibility for capital investments and healthy dividend growth.</p>



<p>I am also of the view that Kinross is likely to pursue acquisitions to <a href="https://s2.q4cdn.com/496390694/files/doc_presentations/2024/03/07/Kinross-Investor-Presentation-March-2024.pdf">boost production growth</a>. That&rsquo;s another potential catalyst for a big rally. This makes it one of those under-$10 stocks to buy for 5-bagger returns.</p>



<h2>Archer Aviation (ACHR)</h2>

ACHR stock has however been sideways in the last six months. This is a good opportunity to accumulate before the flying car stock takes-off.</p>



<p>The first catalyst for Archer is potential completion of certifications from the U.S. Federal Aviation Authority. This will set stage for commercialization in 2025 and healthy growth. Another catalyst is the completion of eVTOL aircraft manufacturing capacity this year.</p>



<p>The production from the facility is expected at 650 aircraft per year and will support servicing of a swelling order book. As of December 2023, Archer <a href="https://investors.archer.com/files/doc_financials/2023/q4/Shareholder-Letter-Q423-FINAL.pdf">reported an order book</a> of $3.5 billion from the Untied States, UAE, and India.</p>



<p>I also believe that Archer is likely to make inroads into additional markets in the coming quarters. This will support the order book and position Archer for stellar growth in the next five years. Overall, as an early-mover in the flying car industry, Archer is positioned to create massive value.</p>



<h2>Canopy Growth Corporation (CGC)</h2>

Of course, the key assumption is the regulatory headwinds wane in the United States and Europe. The recent legalization of cannabis in Germany is big news for the industry.</p>



<p>Further, I am expecting the rescheduling of cannabis from Schedule I to Schedule III drug in the U.S. With elections round the corner, there are renewed hopes on federal level legalization.</p>



<p>An important point to note is that <strong>Canopy Growth</strong> (NASDAQ:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/cgc-stock-quote/"><strong>CGC</strong></a></span>) is <a href="https://www.canopygrowth.com/investors/news-releases/canopy-growth-celebrates-passage-of-cannabis-legalization-in-germany/">among the top three players</a> in the German cannabis industry. The recognition of cannabis as non-narcotic in Germany is likely to help the Company accelerate growth significantly. This is a key growth catalyst for the next few years. With all things considered, it&rsquo;s one of those under-$10 stocks to buy for 5-bagger returns.</p>



<p>Another key stock upside catalyst is that the management expects to <a href="https://www.canopygrowth.com/investors/news-releases/canopy-growth-reports-third-quarter-fiscal-year-2024-financial-results-achieves-third-quarter-of-sequential-revenue-growth-across-canada-cannabis-businesses-and-a-record-quarter-for-medical-sales/">achieve positive Adjusted EBITDA</a> in each business unit exiting financial year 2024. With healthy growth, EBITDA margin expansion seems likely in the next few years.</p>



<h2>Lithium Americas (LAC)</h2>

<p>As an overview, Lithium Americas is the owner of the Thacker Pass asset in the United States. The asset has the largest known lithium resource in the country. It&rsquo;s estimated that Thacker Pass has a mine life of 40 years and an <a href="https://lithiumamericas.com/files/doc_presentation/2024/03/LAC-Corporate-Presentation.pdf">after-tax net present value</a> of $5.7 billion.</p>



<p>Recently, the Company received commitment from the U.S. Department of Energy for a <a href="https://lithiumamericas.com/news/news-details/2024/Lithium-Americas-Receives-Conditional-Commitment-for-2.26-Billion-ATVM-Loan-from-the-U.S.-DOE-for-Construction-of-Thacker-Pass/default.aspx">loan of $2.26 billion</a> for project development. Lithium Americas has also received $650 million from General Motors (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/gm-stock-quote/"><strong>GM</strong></a>) in two tranches. With commercialization in 2027, the asset promises to be a cash flow machine. During phase one, the asset is likely to deliver an average annual EBITDA of $1.1 billion.</p>



<h2>Ring Energy (REI)</h2>

This includes potential rate cuts, geopolitical tensions, and production cut by the OPEC and allies. <strong>Ring Energy</strong> (NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/rei-stock-quote/"><strong>REI</strong></a></span>) is a massively undervalued oil stock with potential to breakout on the upside. It&rsquo;s worth noting that REI stock has been sideways in the last 12 months.</p>



<p>Starting with the asset potential, Ring Energy commands a market valuation of $392 million. In comparison, <a href="https://d1io3yog0oux5.cloudfront.net/_9ccd9a5ecf880bbe178b12ba6d593730/ringenergy/db/880/7737/presentation/Ring+Energy+Q4+2023+Earnings+Corporate+Presentation+FINAL+3-7-24.pdf">the PV10</a> (present value of estimated future oil and gas revenues, net of forecasted expenses) of assets is $1.65 billion. Clearly, in a bull market, there will be ample scope for upside in REI stock.</p>



<p>Another important point to note is that since 2018, the Company has reported production growth at a CAGR of 26%. This growth has been supported by acquisitions. As oil trends higher, production growth coupled with higher realized price would imply robust free cash flows. This would provide flexibility for exploration and acquisition. All in all, it&rsquo;s one of those under-$10 stocks to buy for 5-bagger returns.</p>



<h2>Nio (NIO)</h2>

After a massive correction, NIO stock trades below $5. In my view, the stock is a steal at current levels and can deliver multibagger returns in the next few years.</p>



<p>Intense EV competition, macroeconomic headwinds, dilution, and margin compression, are some factors that have impacted Nio. Having said that, Chinese EV market is positioned for long term growth and the current depression is a buying opportunity.</p>



<p>For 2023, Nio reported revenue of $6.9 billion, which was higher by 8.2% on a year-on-year basis. However, <a href="https://ir.nio.com/news-releases/news-release-details/nio-inc-reports-unaudited-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-2023">vehicle margin declined</a> by 420 basis points to 9.5% Further, Nio reported operating loss of $3.1 billion.</p>



<p>It&rsquo;s worth noting that in December 2023, the Company received investment of $2.2 billion from CYVN Investments RSC. This provides liquidity buffer for operations. With Nio focusing on optimizing cost, it&rsquo;s likely that margins will improve this year.</p>



<p>Another positive is that Nio plans to <a href="https://ir.nio.com/news-releases/news-release-details/nio-inc-provides-march-and-first-quarter-2024-delivery-update">commence deliveries</a> of ES7, ET7 and ET5 in Q2 2024. This is likely to have a positive impact on deliveries growth in the coming quarters. The launch of existing models with enhanced configuration and performance is also likely to increase market competitiveness.</p>



<h2>Nordic American Tankers (NAT)</h2>

At a forward price-earnings ratio of 6.8, NAT stock looks deeply undervalued. Further, the stock offers a generous dividend yield of 12%.</p>



<p>In my view, the time charter equivalent rate for Suezmax tankers is likely to remain firm in the coming years. This is a key reason to be bullish on Nordic American. Factors that are likely to support healthy TCE rates include geopolitical tensions and a <a href="https://www.lloydslist.com/LL1144076/Tanker-newbuilds-boost-record-low-orderbook">relatively low</a> Suezmax tanker orderbook.</p>



<p>For Q4 2023, Nordic reported <a href="https://ml-eu.globenewswire.com/Resource/Download/648c65ac-52cd-4cc0-a68a-e7ab44d7fd9e">average time charter equivalent rate</a> of $39,170 per day per ship. For the same period, the operating cost per day per ship was $9,000. Clearly, if TCE rates remain around these levels, Nordic will be positioned to continue robust dividends and focus on deleveraging.</p>



<p>It&rsquo;s worth noting that the Company&rsquo;s net-debt per ship is low at $11.6 million. If the industry outlook remains positive, Nordic is also positioned for potential tanker acquisition. This will support revenue and cash flow upside.</p>

<p>As an overview, Nordic American is a crude oil tanker company with a current fleet of 19 Suezmax tankers. The company has benefited from healthy time charter rates, but I expect TCS rates to remain robust with high geopolitical tensions.</p>



<p>As of Q4 2023, Nordic reported an average TCE rate of $39,170 per day per ship. The operating cost per day per ship for the same period was $9,000. Therefore, there is clear visibility for healthy EBITDA and robust cash flows at current rates.</p>



<p>It&rsquo;s also worth noting that the company has low leverage and a net debt of $11.6 million per ship. If the market remains strong, Nordic has the flexibility to expand its fleet. Further, healthy cash flows show a strong case for deleveraging and improving credit metrics.</p>



<h2>Ring Energy (REI)</h2>

The stock, however, continues to trade at a valuation gap, and I expect the rally to be sustained. Ring Energy is involved in exploring, producing and developing oil &amp; gas assets.</p>



<p>The company commands a market valuation of $411 million. The company&rsquo;s proven reserves have a <a href="https://d1io3yog0oux5.cloudfront.net/_f9756be854968d542bf6ffe6f534287f/ringenergy/db/856/7741/pdf/Ring+Energy+2024+Roth+Conference+Investor+Presentation+3-18-24.pdf">present value PV10 of $1.65 billion</a>. This clearly indicates the valuation gap and the upside potential as oil trends rise.</p>



<p>In addition, the company&rsquo;s financial metrics have been improving. For Q4 2023, Ring Energy reported an adjusted free cash flow of $16.3 million. With production growth and higher realized oil prices, adjusted FCF can potentially be $80 to $100 million for 2024.</p>



<p>This will provide flexibility to invest in proven undeveloped reserves. At the same time, Ring Energy has a record of growth through acquisitions. The addition of new assets can boost long-term growth visibility.</p>



<h2>Tullow Oil (TUWOY)</h2>

The company has oil &amp; gas exploration activity in Africa. <p>From a financial perspective, there are two points to note. First, Tullow reported $250 million in net debt reduction for 2023. A breakout rally on the upside seems imminent with NAT stock trading at a forward price-earnings ratio of 6.7. Further, the stock offers a robust dividend yield of 12%. Dividends appear sustainable.</p>



<p>NAT owns 19 Suezmax crude oil tankers and benefits with time charter rates remaining healthy. For Q4 2023, Nordic American Tankers reported average TCE rates of $39,170 per day per ship. Backed by robust rates, NAT reported operating cash flow of $139 million for 2023.</p>



<p>It&rsquo;s likely that TCE rates will remain firm and Nordic American Tankers will have headroom to increase dividends and deleverage. The <a href="https://ml-eu.globenewswire.com/Resource/Download/648c65ac-52cd-4cc0-a68a-e7ab44d7fd9e">current order book</a> for new oil tankers at 11% of the global fleet underscores this fact. The historic average order book as a percentage of existing fleet is 20%. Therefore, the demand-supply scenario likely will remain tight, supporting higher TCE rates.</p>



<h2>Safe Bulkers (SB)</h2>

Bulk cargoes include coal, grain and iron ore, with a current fleet of 46 dry bulk vessels.</p>



<p>Also, SB has trended higher by 25% in the last 12 months. However, the stock is undervalued at a forward price-earnings ratio of 6.7 and offers a dividend yield of 4.23%.</p>



<p>Additionally, Safe Bulkers <a href="http://52.59.21.95/files/SB_COR_PRES_JAN_2024F.pdf">expects to increase the fleet size</a> from 46 to 54 by 2027. Further, the company has spent $90 million in the last five years towards environmental upgrades. The quality fleet will translate into sustained cash flows.</p>



<p>Importantly, multiple rate cuts are likely within the next 12 to 18 months. This will help in boosting global GDP growth and dry bulk carriers will benefit in the form of incremental demand. I must add here that with a loan-to-value of 37%, I don&rsquo;t see any financial concerns and dividends are sustainable.</p>



<h2>Hecla Mining (HL)</h2>

Yet, the undervalued precious metal stock is worth considering. Offering a dividend yield of 0.47% may not look attractive, but Hecla Mining is positioned for healthy growth. This will translate into higher dividends in the next few years.</p>



<p>Hecla Mining is one of the largest silver mining companies in the U.S. Additionally, the company has gold, lead and zinc assets. For 2023, HL reported silver production of 14.3 million ounces. Hecla Mining is <a href="https://ir.hecla.com/News--Media/news-releases/news-details/2024/Hecla-Announces-First-Quarter-Production/default.aspx">targeting to increase production</a> to 17 million ounces this year and further to 20 million ounces by 2026.</p>



<p>Therefore, the company&rsquo;s cash flow upside will be driven by higher realized price coupled with production growth. As a <a href="https://s29.q4cdn.com/244919359/files/doc_presentations/2024/Apr/08/april_2024_ir-update.pdf">low-cost silver miner</a>, healthy cash flows will translate into significant dividend growth. At the same time, Hecla Mining will have ample flexibility to invest in organic and acquisition driven asset growth.</p>

3 Undervalued Penny Dividend Stocks to Buy for 100% Returns

<p>There&rsquo;s no getting around it. Considering <a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-types/penny-stocks/">penny stocks</a> to buy on the dip is a high-risk endeavor. Given the volatile nature of stocks trading for $5 per share or less, what may seem like a bottom fisher&rsquo;s buy at first can easily turn into a &ldquo;falling knife&rdquo; type situation.</p>



<p>But while most of the thousands of names in &ldquo;penny stock territory&rdquo; should be approached cautiously, if not avoided, there are few diamonds in the rough within this risky yet opportunity-rich area of the market.</p>



<p>For instance, there are many penny stocks trading at a sharp discounts to their underlying value. Efforts to realize this valuation, or simply via investors &ldquo;discovering&rdquo; this value, can in time lead to strong gains for such stocks.</p>



<p>There are also penny <a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-types/growth-stocks/">growth stocks</a> trading at a more-than reasonable valuations relative to their future prospects. Add in turnaround stories  and other event-driven opportunities, and it&rsquo;s clear that there are plenty of worthwhile penny plays to consider.</p>



<p>This is especially the case with the following seven penny stocks to buy on the dip. Each one has pulled back this year, but could bounce back in a big way, sooner rather than later.</p>



<h2>Entravision Communications (EVC)</h2>

Ironically, it&rsquo;s this &ldquo;new economy&rdquo; business, not the broadcasting assets, that are behind this penny stock&rsquo;s most recent price plunge.</p>



<p>In March, EVC stock experienced an immediate 48% cratering, on news of Facebook parent <strong>Meta Platforms</strong> (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/meta-stock-quote/"><strong>META</strong></a>) ending its <a href="https://www.insideradio.com/free/entravision-stock-plummets-on-news-of-meta-sales-partner-pullout/article_0350ec86-db40-11ee-92f4-33768b3fada9.html">sales partnership agreement</a> with the company&rsquo;s digital division. While a negative for future prospects, there is a silver lining to this turn of events.</p>



<p>As <em>Seeking Alpha</em> commentator Kingdom Capital recently argued, following the stock&rsquo;s big dive on the Meta news, shares now trade at a <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/article/4683096-entravision-communications-unjustified-sell-off">significant discount</a> to the value of the company&rsquo;s broadcasting and spectrum assets. Yes, for now there&rsquo;s little to suggest when monetizing these assets will happen. Even so, shares could begin to recover, once more investors catch onto this &ldquo;hidden value.&rdquo;</p>



<h2>Greystone Logistics (GLGI)</h2>

<p>Unfortunately, instead of a further climb, GLGI stock has experienced a moderate sell-off. While this sell-off likely was driven by the company&rsquo;s latest quarterly earnings release, it&rsquo;s possible investors reacted erroneously to the report. Taking into account a one time event that boosted results in the prior year&rsquo;s quarter, Greystone results were solid, especially given reported <a href="https://compliance-sec.com/secfilings/company/glgi/link_files/2024/04-17-2024/Form8-K(04-17-2024)GreystoneLogistics/Form8-K.pdf">improvements in its operating margins</a>.</p>



<p>As mentioned in the earnings release, delivery of new pallet molds may result in improved utilization of manufacturing capacity. Ahead of a potential renewed recovery later this year, consider GLGI one of the penny stocks to buy on the dip.</p>



<h2>I-80 Gold (IAUX)</h2>

Costco's gold bars, cost stock"><div>Source: Misunseo / Shutterstock.com</div></div><p>Rising spot gold prices have been a boon for gold stocks, but that&rsquo;s not been the case for <strong>I-80 Gold</strong> (NYSEAMERICAN:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/iaux-stock-quote/"><strong>IAUX</strong></a>). Shares in this Reno, Nevada-based miner have continued to pull back thus far in 2024.</p>



<p>Admittedly, there are some good reasons why IAUX stock has underperformed compared to other gold mining plays. As <em>InvestorPlace&rsquo;s</em> Steve Booyens recently pointed out, while I-80 has reached the revenue stage, <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/04/what-is-the-best-1-stock-to-buy-in-april-3-top-picks/">it&rsquo;s still largely an exploration-stage junior miner</a>. Also, in order to finance the development of its exploration-stage projects, I-80 Gold has been engaging in dilutive capital raises. Most recently, with a <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/news/4087998-i-80-gold-plunges-on-60m-unit-public-offering">60 million unit offering</a> announced earlier this month.</p>



<p>Yet while bad news in the long run, the near-term impact of this dilution could be far outweighed by the long-term payoff from further investment into its exploration projects. Increased production and mine development progress could spark a rebound for shares.</p>



<h2>Lithium Americas (LAC)</h2>

After <a href="https://lithiumamericas.com/investor/laac-separation/default.aspx">completing a spin off of its Argentinian mining assets</a> last fall, LAC has become primarily a wager on the company&rsquo;s Thacker Pass lithium mining project, located in Northern Nevada.</p>



<p>Lithium is a vital component in electric vehicle batteries, but that factor isn&rsquo;t helping shares much right now. With EV demand growth and <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-04-09/lithium-prices-market-faces-hard-truths-after-epic-boom-and-bust">spot lithium prices</a> falling, LAC stock pulled back considerably as well. News of a <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/news/4090771-lithium-americas-down-19-prices-275m-equity-offering">dilutive secondary offering</a> has placed even more pressure on shares.</p>



<p>Still, while now out of favor, consider it one of the penny stocks to buy on the dip. As <em>InvestorPlace&rsquo;s</em> Chris MacDonald has argued, the company has <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/04/3-electric-vehicle-stocks-to-buy-in-april-and-hold-forever/">the funding in place to develop Thacker Pass</a>. Within a few years, this mine could produce 40,000 metric tons. Combined with a rebound in lithium prices, the eventual payoff may be tremendous.</p>



<h2>Nordic American Tankers (NAT)</h2>

As I&rsquo;ve discussed in prior coverage of another tanker stock, <strong>DHT Holdings</strong> (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/dht-stock-quote/"><strong>DHT</strong></a>), <a href="https://investorplace.com/2024/04/the-7-best-energy-stocks-to-buy-in-april-2024/">demand trends have been favorable</a> for the industry since last year.</p>



<p>In the case of NAT stock, last year this resulted in both steady price appreciation, plus a <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/news/4073724-nordic-american-tankers-doubles-dividend-to-012">doubling of its dividend</a>. Shares today sport a forward yield of more than 12%. However, in more recent months, Nordic American Tankers has pulled back. This move lower makes some sense. <a href="https://fearnpulse.com/">Suezmax charter rates have also pulled back</a>.</p>



<p>That said, with rates still elevated compared to prior years, NAT may not necessarily experience a big profitability drop anytime soon. As earnings remain high, the tanker owner&rsquo;s more than 12% forward dividend yield is likely sustainable. Shares could also bounce back, if it becomes clear that the tanker boom will continue longer than anticipated.</p>



<h2>FiscalNote Holdings (NOTE)</h2>

Unfortunately, &ldquo;AI mania&rdquo; has not provided any boost for this tech stock.</p>



<p>Rather, NOTE stock has slid significantly since last summer. Trading for over $4 per share as recently as August, today NOTE changes hands for around $1.25 per share. Yet while continued operating losses and slowing growth explain this poor performance, a closer look suggests that, at current prices, FiscalNote has become one of the penny stocks to buy on the dip.</p>



<p>As detailed in the latest quarterly earnings release, <a href="https://investors.fiscalnote.com/news/news-details/2024/FiscalNote-Announces-Fourth-Quarter-and-Full-Year-2023-Financial-Results-Exceeds-Adjusted-EBITDA-Expectations/default.aspx">proceeds from a recent asset sale</a> have enabled FiscalNote to shore up its balance sheet. Not to mention, provide capital to fund FiscalNote&rsquo;s turnaround, which may result in a return to higher growth, as well as further progress towards becoming a profitable enterprise.</p>



<h2>CarParts.com (PRTS)</h2>

Shares went to the moon during 2020 and 2021, thanks to pandemic tailwinds for the online auto parts retailer.</p>



<p>Over the past three years, though, sales growth has stalled, and the company has again become consistently unprofitable. As a result, PRTS stock has fallen back to pre-pandemic price levels. However, before you write off CarParts.com, keep in mind it may not necessarily be destined for the stock market junkyard.</p>



<p>According to co-founder and former CEO Mehran Nia, CarParts.com&rsquo;s troubles are <a href="https://www.accesswire.com/853296/carpartscom-co-founder-advocates-for-board-intervention-to-halt-business-decline-and-restore-profitability-prts">the result of mismanagement</a>. Namely, current management&rsquo;s pivoting away from higher-margin private label products, towards low-margin drop-shipped branded aftermarket parts. Continued efforts by Nia to influence and/or get back on the board may help to spark a recovery for PRTS.</p>
