State Street Global Advisors, the ETF unit of State Street (NYSE: STT), expects to pay capital gains distributions to investors in 12 of its ETFs by the end of this year.State Street Global Advisors issues more than 80 ETFs and paid capital gains distributions on just three of its offerings last year. Payouts should be small on most of the State Street ETFs, in the neighborhood of 1% or less of net asset value. Most of the distributions will be short-term capital gains. The SPDR S&P International Mid Cap ETF (NYSE: MDD) will top the list with a capital gain distribution of $0.869, or 3.22% of NAV, according to press reports.The SPDR Barclays Capital Aggregate Bond ETF (NYSE: LAG), SPDR Barclays Capital Mortgage Backed Bond ETF (NYSE: MBG) and SPDR S&P Emerging Markets Small Cap ETF (NYSE: EWX) will all have capital gains distributions of between 1.45% and 1.65%.
