Goldman Sachs Provides Color on Technology

Goldman Sachs provided color on the technology sector. In a research report published today, Goldman commented on the impact of Intel's INTC slithly better than expected Q2 results on the PC sales. In the report, Goldman states, “Intel's reduction to its 2011 PC unit forecast to +8%-10% yoy brings its outlook more in-line with our forecast of +4% yoy. In addition to our concern over PC units, pricing could become aggressive and pressure OEM margins.” On Wednesday, INTC closed the day at $22.99. Its shares lost 2.26% of their value in today's pre-market trading to stand around $22.47.
