Blackberry Plans to Release a BlackPad (RIMM)

In order to keep the competition fresh, Research in Motion RIMM, maker of the Blackberry line of smartphones, is planning and researching a product to compete with Apple Inc. AAPL’s iPad. Rumors are circulating that the computer tablet will be roughly the same size as the iPad, but unlike the iPad, users will be able be able to use the wireless connection through their mobile phone rather than paying separately for network access. RIMM has already purchased the domain blackpad.com and plans to introduce the Blackpad to the market in November. Apple and Blackberry won't be alone in the computer tablet market: Samsung and LG are also looking to roll out tablets that should be on the market by the end of the year.
