Brown-Forman (NYSE: BF-B) reported a rise in its fiscal second-quarter net income.
Brown-Forman's quarterly profit surged to $206 million, or $0.96 per share, from a year-ago profit of $173 million, or $0.80 per share.
Its sales climbed 6% to $1.08 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.90 per share on sales of $1.11 billion.
Brown-Forman shares closed at $74.50 yesterday.
