Chesapeake Energy CHK released its fiscal third quarter earnings results on Wednesday after the closing bell. The company reported Q3 adjusted net income of $478 million or $0.70 per share, versus $440 million or $0.70 per share, in the year ago quarter.
Revenue came in at $2.6 billion compared to $1.8 billion in the third quarter of 2009. Wall Street analysts had anticipated that CHK would report EPS of $0.64 on revenue of $2.31 billion.
In the after hours trading session, CHK shares have lost 2.33% to $21.79.
