ETF Securities, the ETF issuer behind five U.S.-listed funds that are backed by physical metals, said its assets under management for those funds have topped $2.5 billion as of November 5. The newest fund from ETF Securities, the ETFS Physical PM Basket Shares GLTR, certainly played a part in helping the issuer reach this milestone. Trading for less than three weeks, GLTR, which is backed by a combination of physical holdings in gold, silver, palladium and platinum, has attracted over $30 million in assets. "Reaching $2.5 billion is another strategic milestone for ETF Securities in the US market. We are especially pleased with the market response to GLTR, which holds all four precious metals in one fund. ETF Securities is committed to becoming the leading provider of commodity ETFs in the US. We will continue to develop innovative new products to meet the growing demand from investors seeking new commodity solutions," William Rhind, Strategic Director, Business Development, said in a statement. ETF Securities also issues the ETFS Physical Swiss Gold Shares SGOL, the ETFS Physical Silver Shares SIVR, the ETFS Physical Platinum Shares PPLT and the ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL.
