Thursday's Stock Movers (TGT, GPS, NVDA, VRX)

A number of stocks were lighting up screens across Wall Street on Thursday. Names that were bleeding red included Gap GPS and Target TGT, both of which reported weaker than expected same store sales numbers. GPS shares fell 6.88% to $20.70. TGT lost 6.80% to $54.93. Both stocks attracted massive volume during the trading session. Nvidia NVDA was a huge winner to the upside during the day. The stock jumped 13.84% to $19.33 after the company talked up one of its chips at the Consumer Electronics Show. NVDA says that the Tegra 2 chip could add another $400 million in revenue to its top line annually. Traders in Valeant Pharmaceuticals VRX went wild after the company issued much stronger than expected fiscal 2011 guidance, bidding the shares up 18.70% to $35.55 on massive volume. Keep an eye on this name tomorrow morning.
