QSE Positions Plug-And-Play Platform As Enterprises Race To Quantum-Safe Deadlines

Photo: QSE helps secure your data now and in the future by protecting you against data breaches and ransomware threats with quantum-proof solutions.

QSE has moved beyond R&D. Publicly disclosed deployments include a renewed agreement with India’s Muthoot Group covering approximately 14,000 user licenses, plus a three-year security agreement supporting three Brazilian government clients across roughly 4,500 licenses.

The company’s plug-and-play platform installs at the kernel level on top of existing encryption. That eliminates the multi-year migration work that competing post-quantum approaches typically require.

Backed by a $3 million private placement that closed in November 2025, CyberSecure Canada Level 1 and Level 2 certifications, and CADSI and MISA (Municipal Information Systems Association) membership, QSE is positioned to convert near-term government and enterprise demand into recurring revenue across FY2026.

Disseminated on Behalf of: QSE – Quantum Secure Encryption Corp.

Quantum computing has advanced faster than most cybersecurity roadmaps assumed.

In the past year, breakthroughs in quantum error correction have compressed the threat timeline. Independent expert surveys now put the probability of a cryptographically relevant quantum computer emerging within ten years at 28–49%. That is the highest estimate in seven years of tracking. Sensitive data being harvested today, from financial records to defence communications, can be stored and decrypted later, once quantum capability becomes commercially accessible.

Regulators have responded. The U.S. NSA’s CNSA 2.0 framework now requires all new national security system acquisitions to be quantum-safe compliant by January 2027, with full migration by 2032. The European Commission has set an end-of-2026 deadline for member states to begin their post-quantum transition. High-risk use cases must be transitioned no later than 2030.

That is where QSE – Quantum Secure Encryption Corp. (CSE.QSE) (OTCQB:QSEGF) (FSE. VN80) now finds itself.

The Vancouver-based company, formerly Scope Technologies Corp., provides a full-stack post-quantum security platform. It combines quantum random number generation, encrypted decentralized storage, identity and access management, and a Quantum Preparedness Assessment (QPA) that maps an organization’s exposure before any product is deployed.

“First and foremost, we provide end-to-end post-quantum security protection today and tomorrow,” said CEO Ted Carefoot. “There are gaps in current systems’ defences that quantum computing can expose. We provide a resolution by generating an algorithmic rhythm that is quantum random—completely random and non-deterministic.”

Why Now Is Different

The shift Carefoot describes is not theoretical. Quantum hardware developers, including D-Wave and Quantinuum, already offer cloud-based access to quantum systems on a commercial basis. Emerging players such as Vancouver-based Photonic Inc. are advancing toward commercial-scale deployment. Researchers have begun demonstrating cryptographic attacks on rented machines.

That has changed the conversation in boardrooms.

“Although many organizations think they are safe at the moment, information today can be stolen and then decrypted once quantum capability arrives,” Carefoot said. “That is ...

Full story available on Benzinga.com

Medicus Pharma Advances Skin Cancer And Hormone Therapies

A small biotech company out of Philadelphia is developing alternatives to invasive treatments.

Medicus Pharma has two major studies underway and has requested the FDA for special "Orphan Drug" status for the skin cancer patch it has developed. Another treatment is being developed for hormone-related conditions that affect both men and women.

Gorlin Syndrome Patients Face Repeated Skin Cancer Surgeries

One of the most common skin cancers in the United States is basal cell carcinoma. Every year, there are about 3.6 million cases. Non-melanoma skin cancers affect around 3.3 million people. In some cases, people suffer from more than one type of cancer.

Most people opt to have surgery to remove cancerous tumors. Though it is an effective treatment, it can leave scars, and sometimes repeat operations are necessary. People with Gorlin Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that causes hundreds of tumors to grow, face a much worse problem since the tumors tend to grow back after being surgically removed.

Gorlin Syndrome occurs in about 1 of every 30,000 to 60,000 people. Medicus's request to the FDA is specifically to benefit Gorlin Syndrome patients since the Orphan Drug status is specifically for the development of rare diseases.

How Medicus Pharma Is Developing a Skin Cancer Treatment Patch

Medicus is currently testing SkinJect, a small, dissolvable patch that looks like a bandage with tiny microneedles. It's a spot treatment that doesn't need surgery and stitches. The medicine travels through the needles directly into the cancerous skin tumor, and the patch can be applied during a regular ...

Full story available on Benzinga.com

Homerun Moves From Blueprint To Bankable With $670M Solar Glass Thesis

Photo: Proposed layout of Homerun’s planned solar glass manufacturing complex in Bahia, Brazil showing a rooftop-solar-equipped plant and surrounding farmland.

Disseminated on Behalf of: Homerun Resources Inc.

Homerun’s Bankable Feasibility Study assigns a base-case net present value of USD$670 million and an internal rate of return of 20.2 per cent to what is positioned as the first dedicated solar pattern glass plant in the Americas.

The 1,000 tonne-per-day Belmonte, Bahia facility targets a Brazilian solar market that imported 17.9 gigawatts of photovoltaic modules in 2025 with no domestic solar glass producer to supply it.

With letters of intent (LOIs) for roughly 380,000 tonnes per year against plant capacity of 288,300 tonnes, Homerun enters its financing phase with demand visibility above run-rate output.

Brazil is Latin America’s largest solar market, and yet it produces none of its own solar glass. That mismatch defines one of the cleanest first-mover openings in the Americas’ energy transition.

The country imported 17.9 gigawatts of photovoltaic modules in 2025. Roughly 79 per cent went to rooftop and distributed generation. Every panel relies on imported glass moving through 60–90-day Chinese supply chains exposed to tariffs, freight inflation and the long rationalization underway in China’s own solar sector.

That is where Homerun Resources Inc. (TSXV.HMR) (OTCQB:HMRFF) (FSE.5ZE) (BDR.HMRN31) now finds itself. The Vancouver-based materials company controls the Santa Maria Eterna silica sand district in Belmonte, Bahia, a low-iron, high-purity deposit that feeds a four-vertical strategy spanning industrial silica, solar glass manufacturing, long-duration thermal energy storage and AI-enabled energy management. The solar glass plant sits at the center of that platform, and on May 12th, 2026, the company released a Bankable Feasibility Study confirming the economics of the build.

"Completion of this Bankable Feasibility Study marks a transformational milestone for Homerun and provides a clear technical and financial blueprint for the development of what is intended to be Brazil’s first solar glass manufacturing operation," —Brian Leeners, CEO of Homerun Resources.

From Validation To A Bankable Number

Before the BFS landed, the Homerun story rested on a thesis that had yet to be quantified: a world-class silica resource paired with the Americas’ missing manufacturing link. The BFS, prepared by Germany-based engineering firm, DTEC PMP GmbH, replaces that thesis with hard numbers.

The base case shows a net present value of USD$670 million, an internal rate of return of 20.2 per cent against a weighted average cost of capital of 4.6 per cent, and an estimated payback of 7.6 years inside a 13-year operating life. Total initial capital expenditure comes in at USD$396.5 million, net of VAT and local taxes.

Indicative gross margins reach approximately 50 per cent at projected 2030 domestic pricing of USD$1,033 per tonne, against unit costs of USD$520 per tonne. By 2033, when the plant reaches full run-rate capacity of 288,300 tonnes per annum, the ...

<a href=https://www.benzinga.com/partner/markets/26/05/52688606/homerun-moves-from-blueprint-to-bankable-with-670m-solar-glass-thesis?utm_source=benzinga_taxonomy&utm_medium=rss_feed_free&utm_content=taxonomy_rss&utm_campaign=taxonomy_feed alt=Homerun Moves From Blueprint To Bankable With $670M Solar Glass Thesis>Full story available on Benzinga.com

QVOL: Infrastructure Capital Partners With Nasdaq To Offer Its First Nasdaq ETF

The team at Infrastructure Capital (ICA) is excited to launch the Infrastructure Capital Nasdaq Option Income ETF, (NASDAQ:QVOL). QVOL seeks to provide investors high monthly income with capital appreciation through exposure to companies held in the Nasdaq Composite Index.

High Monthly Income

Advisors and investors are always looking for ways to enhance their income, however there is generally a tradeoff between yield and capital appreciation. QVOL seeks to actively capture income from the volatility-heavy technology sector, while positioning the equity portfolio for capital appreciation. Unlike competitor buy-write and option overlay strategies, ICA will actively manage the construction of QVOL's equity portfolio and option activity, in tandem, in an effort to capture upside while generating premiums from option activity. QVOL can selectively write options on Nasdaq equities or indexes to achieve high income. While many competitor funds deploy systematic, long duration option writing strictly on an index, QVOL seeks to dynamically capture option premiums on companies that it believes are overvalued and can use short duration option activity to limit the potential upside cap from option writing. This allows QVOL to participate in greater market upside than many of its competitors. QVOL's option strategies are designed to generate high income by seeking annual premium from option writing.

Flexible Equity Allocations

QVOL aims to capture upside by actively selecting equity and option investments driven by quantitative and qualitative analysis, including relative value indicators. QVOL has the flexibility of selecting investments across the Nasdaq Composite Index. The Nasdaq Composite Index and the Nasdaq-100 Index are highly correlated and tend to move together because the 100 largest non-financial companies in the Nasdaq-100 generally make up about 80% to 90% of the total market capitalization of the much broader composite. In addition, due to the market cap weighting of the Nasdaq Composite Index, the top index holdings substantially overlap with the Nasdaq 100 Index. Accordingly, QVOL will provide investors exposure to big tech companies (e.g., the Magnificent 7) while offering QVOL more flexibility to seek to select valuable companies held in the Nasdaq Composite Index. The team at ICA believes this broader exposure to the Nasdaq Composite Index and flexibility to have more investment opportunities will support QVOL's performance.

Infrastructure Capital's Investment Process

QVOL deploys ICA's active management approach. The team at Infrastructure Capital selects investments for the portfolio pursuant to a variety of quantitative, qualitative, and relative valuation factors. When screening for equities and constructing the basket, ICA emphasizes selecting companies that screen well when considering a variety of relative valuation factors. As an example, QVOL may favor lower relative priced stock, or companies with higher profitability as compared to their representation in the Index (favorable relative value). If a company has a low price in relation to its book value or relative to the price of its peers, that would also be considered a positive factor. When evaluating the relative price of a security, ICA considers additional ...

Full story available on Benzinga.com
