Apple Releases iTunes 10

Apple AAPL releases a new iTunes 10 today. With this new version, Steve Jobs decided it was time for a makeover that started with a new logo. He said everything is going digital so it's time to ditch the CD. The new iTunes 10 will be simple and elegant. Jobs says its a social network for music. It answers questions like; what are my friends listening to? What are my favorite artists up to? How can I share my favorite music with my friends? The answer is PING! Jobs describes PING as Facebook and Twitter meet iTunes. It is a social network for music. It allows you to create a profile and you can have your own circle of friends. PING is a way to post your thoughts and opinions on the latest music and news. It will include 17,000 concert listings, custom song and album charts, and is open to iTunes users immediately.
