Erin Gorman Kirk, Esquire is a lifelong champion of the underserved, overpoliced, and neglected members of society, and has worked for two decades on achieving cannabis reform, repairing community damage, promoting social justice and securing equity for those harmed by the racist, classist War on Drugs.

With a background in international government relations, Maritime and law, Erin has worked around the globe for nonprofits, nations, and NGOs. She is a fierce Veterans advocate who believes that Cannabis and Hemp solutions could alleviate many of our societal, physical and mental health-related issues. A leader, a teacher, and a helper, Erin does a great deal of pro bono work in the field and is a well-respected strategist with innovative ideas and a dynamic personality.

In her new role as the first-in-the nation Cannabis Ombudsman, State of Connecticut, Erin has pledged to be a vigilant guardian of patient interests, ensuring that decisions and actions taken by cannabis producers adhere to the highest standards of care and compassion, and promises active engagement with all stakeholders to enhance the palliative marijuana market, aiming to make Connecticut a model state for patient advocacy in the cannabis sector.
