Jerel Registre is the Managing Director of the Curio WMBE Fund, a $30mm private equity fund established to provide investment and financing to minority and female entrepreneurs seeking to build and own a cannabis dispensary based on the franchise model developed by Curio Wellness.

Jerel specializes in driving financial, organizational and analytical initiatives designed to maximize cash flow and value to investors. Prior to joining the Fund, he led a private consulting firm that worked with small and medium-sized businesses to drive financial and operational improvements by evaluating capital opportunities and identifying operational efficiencies. Spending most of his career in private equity and entrepreneurial endeavors, Jerel began his career at GE Commercial Finance and J.P. Morgan before working as a Business Value Accelerator for Sterling Partners. As an Accelerator, he supported the corporate development of Sterling’s portfolio companies, including Remedi SeniorCare and Ameritox.

Jerel has significant experience working within regulated industries to identify opportunities for profitable growth including insurance, banking and healthcare services. He specializes in implementing value maximizing projects identified through strategic financial analysis.

Jerel received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida and his Master in Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Jerel lives in Fulton, MD, with his wife, Tonya, and two children, Mark and Erin.
