Mike Varney is a Partner in Crowe’s Risk Consulting practice with over 20 years of experience in Financial and Risk management. He is currently focused supporting clients within manufacturing, mainly in auto related and industrial production space, and the Life Sciences Bio Pharma sector. He is the Risk Consulting practices international liaison partner and on the Global Risk Steering committee for the firm. In these roles he works with Crowe’s global offices in consistency of methodology and support of client delivery. Mike has worked with clients in the development and transformation of their Internal Audit departments, as well as their Internal Control environments, and addressing risks within the supply chain structures. He also published various whitepapers, sits on multiple committees within professional organizations at the national and local levels (IIA), and is a frequent speaker on Internal Audit and how it can add value to organizations.
