Robert is a Principal on Measure 8’s VC team and has advised on more than $1.3B of cannabis transactions. He focuses on tech opportunities ranging from genetics/agtech and biosynthesis to the SaaS/DaaS platforms forming the backbone of the emerging global cannabis industry. He has led numerous deals including Leaf Trade and Dutchie, the most valuable cannabis-tech company. As a strategic advisor to Curaleaf Holdings, Robert contributed to the operational and M&A strategy that propelled the company to its present position as the world’s largest cannabis company. Over the past three years, he has analyzed hundreds of cannabis and ancillary businesses from seed stage to pre-public, developing comprehensive knowledge of success factors in this complex, nascent, high growth sector. Robert started his career at Ecolab, a Fortune 300 Water, Hygiene and Energy Technologies company, holding multiple roles in cross-border business development, global FP&A and deal structuring.
