Co-chair of Burns & Levinson’s Cannabis Business & Law Advisory and Financial Restructuring & Distressed Transactions groups, Scott Moskol is an integral leader in the firm’s corporate and finance practices serving regional, national, and international clients. A nationally recognized pioneer of the cannabis industry, Scott co-founded one of the first cannabis-specific corporate counsel practices in the country at Burns & Levinson and was named an inaugural Cannabis Trailblazer by the National Law Journal, and was recently named a “Leading Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyer” by Lawdragon. His clients include investors, lenders, startups, publicly traded multi-state operators, banks and credit units, and cannabis-specific funds. He is often retained for capital raises, structuring appropriate vehicles for investments in the cannabis industry, drafting operative documents, lending, M&A, and restructuring and receivership in the cannabis space. He also serves as outside general counsel for some cannabis clients, providing legal guidance and concrete and practical business counsel.
