Mr. George joined SNDL as Chief Executive Officer in January 2020 and has over 20 years of experience in alternative investments and evaluating opportunities across the capital structure of North American companies with a focus on real assets. He has worked in management and board capacities focused on restructurings and operational turnarounds, affecting corporate action, and implementing governance policies to maximize shareholder value.

In his current role, Mr. George has materially transformed SNDL’s business model through a series of strategic acquisitions, creating a vertically integrated leading regulated products platform with a focus on strategic diversification and long-term sustainable profitability. Zach’s leadership has played a pivotal role in opening up new avenues for growth and U.S. exposure through SNDL’s joint venture with Sunstream Bancorp.
