Barry S. Metzger is the Head of Trading & Education at Charles Schwab, where he is responsible for the trading and education business for both Schwab and TD Ameritrade.  The Trading and Education team is focused on market leading trading platforms for active traders; options, futures, and forex, on-demand education for clients of all levels of trading knowledge, live market commentary, and 1:1 coaching and guidance.

 

At Schwab, Metzger previously lead the Planning & Portfolio Group as well as out international affiliates. Previously, he served as chief executive of optionsXpress, leading the broker dealer integration and account migration into Schwab, and previously was chief executive officer of brokersXpress LLC, a former subsidiary of optionsXpress Holdings, Inc. Earlier in his career, Metzger was the vice president of training and development at Morgan Stanley.

 

Metzger earned a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and an M.B.A. degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 27, 31, 66 securities registrations.
