Donal R. Schmidt, Jr. is the founder and President of Texas MDI, Inc. Mr. Schmidt is an attorney and Certified Public Accountant in Texas with substantial combined business experience in both fields in his career in Dallas which started in 1985. Mr. Schmidt has served as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, President, and Director since November 2019. In the preceding five years, he practiced law in the Law Firm of Donal R. Schmidt, Jr., PLLC, in Dallas, Texas, as the principal. He previously ran several successful public companies, including Maxwell Resources, Inc., an oil and gas company which transitioned to a resource play in mining, INTREorg Systems, Inc., an internet consulting and ‘back office’ service provider to other businesses and Sun River Energy, Inc and E&P company. In conjunction with his founding of TMDI, he has gained significant experience as an attorney and entrepreneur in the cannabinoid industry. He received both M.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Texas at Dallas and a J.D. degree from Texas Wesleyan (now Texas A&M) University School of Law. Mr. Schmidt was a varsity football player at the University of Texas. He is an award-winning hunter and fisherman. He currently serves on the Board of a major NGO and serves as an advisor to EarthX founder Trammell S. Crow relating to EarthX Conservation. He is in the commercial cattle business with his brothers. He is married and has four children all of whom attended HPISD.
