  • Self-nominate your company for the prestigious Benzinga Fintech Awards and gain immediate visibility for your achievements in the financial technology space.  This is the most direct path to showcase your innovation and impact on the industry.
  • Plus, our Benzinga editorial team is constantly on the lookout for "Zingy-Worthy" companies pushing boundaries and transforming the fintech landscape. Deserving companies, even those who don't self-nominate, might receive an editorial nomination for the awards.
  • All nominations, self-submitted or editorial, are evaluated using the same rigorous criteria by our expert judging panel.

Finalists: Our Finalists are made up of the highest-ranking nominees per our judges reviews and scores. The Benzinga Fintech Awards Finalists make up our shortlist of the most innovative, game-changing industry leaders, making capital markets easier to consume for all people. Finalists are crowned across all categories. This list is kept for the top 150 companies across the competition. The number of Finalists in a given category depends on the number of submissions we receive for each category and the judge’s scores.

Winners: Once the scores are in, we take the highest-ranked Finalists and crown them the Winners in their respective categories.

People’s Choice Award: The People’s Choice Award is just that – an award voted on by the people. Once you nominate yourself for an existing category, you are automatically placed in the running for this award. Once our public voting opens, anyone and everyone can vote for their favorite nominees. Each user can vote for one nominee per day. It is suggested to promote your nomination for this award as often as you can so that your network remembers to vote for you! This is not a category-specific award. There is only ONE winner across the entire competition for the People’s Choice Award. Essentially, you are running against ALL nominees across all of our categories. On average, we have about 400-500 applications each year. So, even if the category you applied in only has 10 submissions, you are still competing with all nominees across the rest of our categories. The nominee that has the most votes at the end of the competition wins. You can check our timeline for important dates on start and end times.

Benzinga takes great pride in recognizing and honoring those who are propelling the fintech industry forward with new discoveries—making finance just a little bit easier to navigate. The Benzinga Fintech Listmakers will showcase companies and executives from areas such as investing, technology, leadership, financial literacy, and more.

We formulate a seasoned group of judges (Benzinga editorial staff, industry leaders, and advisors in the space) to carefully vet all nominees. Judges score the nominees on a range of topics to determine who makes the Listmakers index, including: company background, accomplishments, successes, and more. The applicant with the highest score in each category will be recognized as the Ultimate Zinger in their respective category.
