Daniel Pipitone is the co-founder and CEO of TradeZero Holding Corp. and is responsible for the company's overall strategy. Pipitone's career spans over 25 years as an entrepreneur, founding and leading successful start-ups in the financial services sector.
Pipitone began his career working with real-time market data and front-end systems at Real-Time Quotes Inc., one of the first publishers of Level 2 market data over the Internet, where he served from 1996-1999.
In 1999, Pipitone, along with his two current partners and Co-Founders, John Ferrara, and John Muscatella launched NobleTrading.com Inc., an online broker-dealer catering to active traders and trading firms. NobleTrading.com Inc. was sold to Lightspeed Trading in 2010.
In 2015, Pipitone, Muscatella, and Ferrara co-founded TradeZero America’s sister company, TradeZero Inc., an offshore online brokerage firm, based in Nassau, Bahamas and registered with the Securities Commission of the Bahamas. TradeZero offered and continues to offer the trading platforms built in house by TradeZero’s development and tech team.
2019 saw the founding of TradeZero America Inc., with partners John Muscatella and Giovanni Ferrara. TradeZero America is an online broker-dealer that provides commission-free trading with user-friendly desktop and mobile software, offering professional-level tools for US based retail investors.
TradeZero Canada Securities ULC was founded by the trio of Pipitone, Ferrara and Muscatella in 2022 offering access to the US equities and options markets to Canadian citizens and residents.
Pipitone Co-Founded TZClear LLC, a DTC member equities clearing firm, along with Ferrara and Muscatella in 2023 to support the equities clearance of their three existing retail broker dealers.
He also serves on the Board of Directors and is Vice chair of the Finance Committee of the Brooklyn YMCA, Prospect Park/Armory, since January 2022.
Pipitone earned a BS in Accounting from Binghamton University in 1996 and is a Regis High School graduate, class of 1992.
