Apple Unveils Latest Line of Products

Apple AAPLreleased a multitude of new products today as Steve Jobs continues to leave the public in awe. While most knew to expect the yearly upgrade of iPods the rest of just speculation. Jobs began with the new operating system which is to be the platform on the new product lines. Gamecenter, a new feature that allows users to play multiplayer games. It also matches you with other players and friends and lets you view the competition by viewing others scores and statistics. This will be available on the iPad, iPhone, and iTouch. Each product in the iPod line received some upgrades as well. The Shuffle is now even smaller but more versitle as it has improved battery life, voiceover which allows multiple playlists, and genius. The iPod Touch which is Apple's most popular product received the biggest upgrades. It now includes a retina display that has 4x pixels and the speed of the latest iPhone 4. Two main features now include Facetime with a front camera for video chat as well as a rear camera with HD video recording. Best of all, users don't have to worry about the new features draining the battery as the new iTouch gets 40 hours of battery life. The new iTouch is available for pre-order today. ITunes received a highly anticipated makeover. Jobs wanted to find a way to integrate music and social networking in his newest creation, PING. The best way to describe PING is "Facebook and Twitter meet iTunes" says Jobs. Ping is a social network for music. You are able to have your own circle of friends which allows users to follow others and be followed. Users can post thoughts concerns and opinions, customize their song and album charts, as well as view over 17,000 concert listings. These new features will be available immediately wit ha free download. Last but not least, Jobs unveiled Apple's latest upgraded "hobby", Apple TV. Apple TV was never a big hit but the users who had it, loved it. Apple took users input and gave them something everyone would want. Its now a quarter the size of its predecessor and can fit in the palm of your hand. It has wifi built-in so the need for many wires are eliminated. All content will be streamed, rather than synced. The best part of the new Apple TV is that Apple has finally joined forces with Netflix. The majority of the content distributed will be in HD which includes movies, TV shows, and even podcasts. Prices for rentals will range from $4.99 down to 99 cents. TV shows available with be from the ABC and FOX networks. What if you start watching a movie on your iPad but want to finish on your big screen hooked up to Apple TV? No problem.
