- Rockstar teased GTA 6's trailer date months ago via a cryptic T-shirt in GTA Online, hinting at a Dec. 5, 2023 reveal.
- Speculation about the game's release window, between April 2024 and March 2025, follows Take-Two's financial forecasts.
Take Two Interactive Software Inc's TTWO Rockstar seemingly hinted at the release date for the first Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) trailer through a cryptic T-shirt in GTA Online, initially released in June 2023.
According to IGN, the shirt, titled "???" under the "GTAV Anniversary" category, concealed a message deciphered by fans as "ONEDAYWILLREVEALALL." It featured numbers and symbols, with the string "12523" decoded as hinting at Dec. 5, 2023, when the trailer is set to drop at 9 a.m. EST.

Looks like @RockstarGames secretly teased GTA 6's big trailer reveal a few months ago with the "ONEDAYWILLREVEALALL" t-shirt in GTA Online.

It featured a bunch of numbers on it but as one GTA Forums user noted back in October, there was a notable number sequence of "12523" on it pic.twitter.com/s3YvSeLw8T
Additionally, speculation arose about a sequence, "040125," found on the shirt, potentially suggesting April 1, 2025, as a release date for GTA 6. However, this date format differs from the trailer tease, leading many to consider it a misdirection or joke from Rockstar.
The anticipation surrounding GTA 6 is immense, with expectations of record-breaking trailer views and game sales. Rockstar previously expressed gratitude to fans for their support and announced the trailer release in early December.
The game's existence was rumored after GTA 5's 2013 release, confirmed officially by Rockstar in 2022, with leaked in-development footage later surfacing in a security breach involving a British teenager's arrest.
Speculation about its release window, spanning between April 2024 and March 2025, was driven by Take-Two Interactive's projected financial gains during that fiscal year, heavily reliant on the success of the GTA series.
