America’s Construction Sites Are Desperate For Robots — This House-Printing Startup Is Making Them

America needs five million new homes right now. However, new construction companies are struggling to close the gap as millennials (the largest generation, over 70 million in the U.S.) enter the homebuying age. The current labor-intensive technology cannot close the gap, so the entire market share is there for the taking. One company has a way to fix that and possibly see Nvidia-like growth over the coming years. So far, it has secured a Guinness World Record, funding from NASA, and a strategic investment from the biggest American homebuilder. You can become an investor while it’s still in its pre-IPO phase.

It’s Either Innovation Or Crisis At This Point

Home prices have been rocketing way before inflation, high rates, and world instability due to wars and international political issues. One major culprit is the heavy reliance on skilled labor, which is shrinking. Apart from new homes, the U.S. lacks half a million construction workers, according to Associated Builders and Contractors. Unfortunately, the problem will only worsen as old tradesmen retire and young people are ditching trade schools for colleges en masse. Consequently, construction companies are desperate for automation. And whoever brings it about is probably looking at a decent chunk of a $16 trillion industry. Apis Cor is dead set on becoming one of them.

Given the construction industry’s enormous size, reducing costs by a couple of percent is enough to capture the market. Apis Cor has developed a robot that can reduce costs by up to 30% and triples construction speed. It operates quite simply. A special blend of concreteis poured from the machine in a predetermined pattern layer by layer, so the walls for the entire single-family home can be done in a few days.

On The Right Track

Apis Cor is the finalist of NASA’s Centennial Challenge winning the top monetary awards at all levels they participated in. Its success reached Dubai, which commissioned Apis Cor's tallest 3D-printed building, 31 ft tall, 2 story and 6,400 sq.ft of living area. In 2023, Apis Cor teamed up with Wells Fargo and Habitat for Humanity  in an effort to build affordable 3D-printed housing in Southern Florida. However, the biggest accomplishment came in March of this year when D.R. Horton, the U.S.' largest homebuilding company by volume, made a strategic investment in Apis Cor

Be There Before Even Bigger News

The company has accomplished great things but sees plenty of room for improvement. Its goal is to build an entire single-family home in one week. Such a feat would cause an earthquake in the market, and VCs know it. Alchemist Accelerator and At One Ventures have both invested in the company, as have over 2,000 individual investors. You can join them today while Apis Cor is still in its pre-IPO stage.
