Anthony O’Reilly is an updates editor for Benzinga. He’s won numerous journalism awards for his coverage of the New York City economy and Long Island school district budgets.
As a professional journalist, Anthony reported on everything from the Mafia to local community fundraisers. Anthony has won several awards for coverage of local government, crime, religion, education, and business/economics. He’s also worked as senior editor for Muscle & Fitness magazine. His work has appeared in Garage Gym Reviews, BarBend, Family Handyman, and U.S. News 360 Reviews.
The New York City native now lives right outside Charlotte, NC, where he spends his spare time hiking mountains or trying to find a bagel that can cure his homesickness.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Print Journalism and a minor in English Literature from St. John’s University, where he served as news editor for The Torch, the school’s independent student newspaper. As news editor, he led coverage of a federal trial against a former university dean.
