For Traders Product Offering
While For Traders offers five account sizes across three different challenges, some prop traders might find the account sizes small. For Traders offers accounts of $6,000, $15,000, $25,000, $50,000 and $100,000. It also provides an 80% profit split, scaling, news trading, weekend trading, automated trading and unlimited time to complete challenges.
The prop trading assets accessible through For Traders are limited to forex, metals, indexes and energies.
Here’s how For Traders rates on features prop traders look for in a firm.
For Traders offers several options for customer support 24/5, including live chat, email, phone and a database of answers to frequently asked questions. For Traders connects with audiences on X, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, Facebook and TikTok. The firm has a Trustpilot rating of excellent, with 4.4 stars out of 5 from 526 reviews, although 13% of its reviewers gave For Traders one star. Trustpilot also shows For Traders takes less than two weeks to respond to reviews and has replied to 72% of negative reviews.
Beyond boilerplate terms and conditions and a privacy policy, the For Traders website does not provide information about security or privacy. The privacy policy states that personal information collected through the website is shared only with employees who need access to the information to help customers.
The barrier to entry on For Traders is low. While many prop trading firms charge a monthly or a high one-time fee, For Traders charges a one-time fee across its three challenge options, from $50 for a $6,000 account under its one-step challenge to $450 for a $100,000 account. A $6,000 account for the two-step challenge costs $50 and rises to $467 for a $100,000 account. The two-step Challenge PRO has the lowest prices, starting at $42 for a $6,000 account and rising to $416 for a $100,000 account. Other account sizes are $15,000, $25,000 and $50,000.
Prop traders can access three robust trading platforms that cater to different prop trader needs and preferences, including DXTrade, MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and TradeLocker. MT5 offers advanced charting tools and technical indicators to provide access to detailed market analysis and automated trading through Expert Advisors (EAs).
DXTrade's customizable interface is friendly to beginning and experienced prop traders and TradeLocker makes it easy to execute trades and manage your account.
For Traders also features a user-friendly, comprehensive dashboard that offers real-time insight into your trading and an easy-to-use trading journal to help you track and analyze your trading performance.
For Traders vs. Competitors
On its website, For Traders compares itself to the prop trading firms FTMO, Funding Pips and Alpha Capital Group. It is similar in the profit split, profit target and drawdown but differs in the Challenge PRO, a one-step challenge and free tournaments. Billed as a platform to evaluate and educate prop traders, For Traders also competes with City Traders Imperium (CTI), which focuses on professional development. CTI has a lower profit split of 70% but offers account sizes that reach $2 million.
New and seasoned prop traders will find much to like about For Traders, although professionals may be more likely to pass it by. With little more than a year under its belt, For Traders offers features that make it competitive among the proprietary trading platforms popping up.
However, its inexperience is apparent in its lack of security information. While it considers itself an evaluation and education platform for prop traders, For Traders has room to grow in its educational resources.
Still, the firm provides strong customer support, as evidenced by client reviews on Trustpilot and the high percentage of negative reviews the company replied to. The dashboard and trading journal will appeal to all prop traders who understand the importance of reviewing and learning from their trades. While the lack of transparency on security drags down the rating, For Traders is a competitive prop trading platform.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the max allocation?
The max allocation is the maximum funding of an account. On For Traders, no challenge accounts have a max allocation. If you pass the evaluation and receive a funded account, the max Standard Funded Account is $100,000 in virtual funds and the Premium Program is $300,000 in virtual funds.
In the challenge, you can hold unlimited accounts. If you pass three $100,000 challenge accounts but fail to meet the requirements for the Premium Program, you will receive one $100,000 virtual funded account and the other two will be held until you breach your account or meet the premium requirements.
Are there any promotions on For Traders?
The promotion For Traders offers is PROFIT15, a 15% discount and a 15% share of the profits from the evaluation phase. The promotion applies to all For Traders challenge plans.
The discount is available at checkout using the discount code “PROFIT15.” To receive the 15% profit share, you must complete the evaluation and achieve 5% growth in your For Traders Account, the funded stage and then request your payout. The 15% profit share from your evaluation phases will be included in your payout as a “Challenge Profit Bonus.”
What is the For Traders Challenge PRO?
The For Traders Challenge PRO is a two-step evaluation challenge for more experienced traders. It has easier rules promoting more trading flexibility and new features encouraging risk management.
The Challenge PRO presents the lowest profit targets – 6% in each phase – among the For Traders evaluation challenges. It also has no daily drawdown but maintains a 10% maximum drawdown, which still offers flexibility in trading styles.
Two new features, a 2% daily profit cap and a 3% daily pause, support risk management. The 2% daily profit cap is the maximum of your starting balance you can earn in one day and the 3% daily pause is a threshold of 3% of your initial balance. Hitting either limit is not a breach. However, your positions will be closed for the day. Your account resets for the next trading day.
