Why FXTM Brokerage Over Others?

FXTM offers new traders excellent educational resources that include live online webinars and local seminars, videos and tutorials. You can also get free access to one of the best learning tools available for any forex trader — a demo account. If you’re a new trader, you really can’t go wrong with FXTM’s extensive learning resources.

FXTM’s support of clients using the popular MetaTrader 4 and 5 (MT4&5) platforms gives many traders a familiar and sophisticated trading interface that they can begin using immediately (its software also comes in a mobile app). Another reason FXTM beats out many competitors is its PAMM and managed accounts. These accounts offer a viable solution for people who want to make money in the forex market but do not want to trade the market themselves.

Experienced and high-volume traders will appreciate the benefits of tight dealing spreads and access to an electronic communications network (ECN) account option that allows direct access to the market. A small commission is charged in addition to the tight market dealing spreads for the ECN account.

Whether you’re just starting out as a forex trader or have been trading for years, FXTM can fit your needs and provide excellent forex brokerage services regardless of your level of expertise.

FXTM Pricing

FXTM offers traders 3 Standard and 3 ECN account types that include instantaneous execution and tight floating spreads. Only the ECN account has associated commission costs. A swap-free Islamic account option is available for all Standard accounts with EUR, GBP and USD as base currencies. A demo account can be opened for the Standard and Cent accounts but not for the Stocks CFD account. See the tables below for further details on costs, leverage and minimum deposits required to open an account.

Please note that CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 77% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Please also note that FXTM brand does not provide services to residents of the USA, Mauritius, Japan, Canada, Haiti, Suriname, the Democratic Republic of Korea, Puerto Rico, Brazil, the Occupied Area of Cyprus and Hong Kong. Find out more in the Regulations section of their FAQs.

FXTM Usability

With respect to FXTM’s usability, the broker allows clients to use the MT4&5 trading platforms, which makes its services immediately available to thousands of traders who already have experience with those popular platforms. The MT4&5 platforms feature state-of-the-art technical analysis and charting options. They can also run “expert advisors” that consist of software you can program yourself or buy from 3rd-party developers. These so-called “trading robots” can be automated to enter trades based on programmed market setups.

The MT4&5 platforms are quite intuitive to use and can readily be mastered by opening a demo account to practice in. The demo account is an extremely powerful educational tool that lets you trade using virtual money to avoid risking any real funds. Demo accounts can also be invaluable to traders developing and testing a trading strategy.

Once you’ve learned how to trade via the MT4&5 trading platforms, you’ll be able to manage your positions and implement your trading plan smoothly and efficiently. You can also see your balances immediately on the MT4&5 platforms and can even make trading account deposits and withdrawals via the platform.

In addition to the downloadable MetaTrader platforms, FXTM offers the MT4&5 web-based platform called WebTrader. This platform lets you access your FXTM account from any computer connected to the Internet without the need to download any software.

Another great feature offered by FXTM is the ability to conduct copy trading on the MT4&5 trading platforms. With its copy trading service, you can access a wide variety of trading signals that you can subscribe to. Once subscribed, you’ll be able to automatically copy every trade made by the signal provider.

FXTM Education

FXTM has extensive educational resources ideal for beginning and intermediate traders. Even seasoned traders might find important material that could improve their trading results. FXTM’s education resources consist of:

  • Webinars: FXTM has assembled a team of industry experts that provide regular webinars in multiple languages. The webinars cover a wide range of topics suitable for traders at any level. Some of the topics covered include the fundamentals of forex trading, risk management techniques, trading psychology and different trading strategies.
  • Seminars: Due to the global pandemic, FXTM has put its seminars on hold. When the seminars are held, they are generally hosted in a major urban center in various regions around the world and presented by acclaimed industry experts. The seminars give traders the opportunity to ask seminar leaders questions and network with other traders in their area. FXTM also awards certificates and prizes at these events.
  • Videos: FXTM has produced a series of educational videos by market expert John Jergeson. The videos cover the forex market from trading basics and fundamentals to complex trading strategies. Other important subjects covered in the videos consist of market and personal psychology and the use of indicators that can be invaluable to traders at all levels of expertise.
  • Ebooks: Whether you’re a new trader or have extensive experience in the forex market, FXTM’s ebook library probably has a book that can improve your trading results. Some of the titles in the library include The Elliott Wave Theory and Bullish and Bearish Japanese Candlesticks and Strategies.

In addition to the resources described above, FXTM regularly publishes educational articles that cover many forex topics and includes a forex glossary, so you can familiarize yourself with the jargon commonly used in the business.

FXTM Offerings

In addition to forex, CFDs, commodity, indices and spot metals trading, FXTM offers different account types to fit just about any kind of trader. The use of the MetaTrader platforms and the broker’s extensive list of tradable instruments — as well as its tight dealing spreads and low commissions on ECN accounts — make FXTM an excellent choice for many novice and advanced traders.

If you’re interested in diversifying your trading into other instruments, you can trade stock CFDs on some of the world’s largest capitalization stocks through FXTM, such as Apple, L’Oréal, Gap, Airbus, Cisco, MetLife and Southwest Airlines. FXTM Spot Metals

If you plan on diversifying into precious metals, you can trade spot gold and silver against the euro, the U.S. dollar and pound sterling via FXTM. Precious metals have traditionally been a hedge against inflation and geopolitical uncertainty, and some currencies are influenced by shifts in their value.

FXTM Mobile App

The MetaTrader 4 and 5 mobile applications are available at the Apple and Android app stores. They give traders increased flexibility by allowing trading virtually anywhere and anytime on mobile devices. The apps come with most of the features found on the desktop MT4&5 applications and an extended version is available for tablets.

The MT5 app uses the MQL5 MetaQuotes Language 5 and has some expanded capabilities compared to the MT4 app. For example, the MT4 app has 6 different time frames for technical analysis, while the MT5 app has 21 different time frames to choose from.

FXTM Overall Rating

FXTM is a major online forex, CFD and spot metals broker that operates worldwide with some exceptions, the most notable being its refusal to accept U.S. clients. To provide ample security for account holders, customer accounts are segregated from company funds, and the broker submits to oversight by several major regulators:

  • The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), License Number 185/12
  • Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) of South Africa, FSP no. 46614
  • The Financial Services Commission of Mauritius (FSC), Investment Dealer License C113012295
  • The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Firm Reference Number 777911

FXTM also boasts impressive educational facilities for beginning traders, and it supports the MetaTrader platforms that offer many useful features for advanced traders. Tight dealing spreads and low commissions on ECN accounts provide an even greater incentive to choose FXTM. In all, FXTM is an excellent choice for a forex and CFD broker no matter whether you’re just starting out or have been trading for years.
