Norton LifeLock Products

Technology has improved lives in many ways, but it has also made it easier for criminals to steal personal information. LifeLock tracks suspicious activity and alerts users. Monitoring and detecting early signs of fraud makes it easier for people to protect themselves from identity theft.

LifeLock has three main plans that customers can choose from based on their individual needs. These include LifeLock Standard, LifeLock Advantage and LifeLock Ultimate Plus. Services offered under the three plans include the following.

Identity Monitoring

The identity monitoring service offered by LifeLock covers key areas where customers are likely to be subjected to identity theft, including dark web content, crime registries and court records. The company notifies its customers by sending alerts if their identities are found in such areas.

Credit Monitoring

LifeLock provides a comprehensive credit monitoring service depending on the selected plan. With the Standard plan, customers only qualify for credit monitoring from one bureau. The Plus plan provides credit monitoring and alerts for all three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion). The credit monitoring plan is also accompanied by credit reports and reports from all three agencies.

Financial Monitoring

Financial monitoring services are available in the LifeLock Advantage and LifeLock Plus plans. It involves monitoring customers’ financial accounts, including their checking, savings and credit accounts. The company alerts users when money is moved from these accounts or if someone other than the account holder requests information changes. The company also monitors new accounts opened under the customer’s name and gives alerts on customers' 401(k) investment accounts.

Social Media Monitoring

Social media monitoring is the newest feature offered by LifeLock. It is only available with the LifeLock Plus plan. With this option, the company monitors all your social media posts and detects signs of hate speech and cyberbullying. It also warns customers if someone is trying to hack their social media accounts. The company can monitor social media platforms like Facebook, your YouTube channel, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.

Lost Wallet Protection

If you misplace or someone steals your wallet, LifeLock customer service can cancel the existing cards on your behalf and help you get replacements. But this protection only applies if you entered the card numbers into your dashboard. The company can help with the cancellation and replacement of debit cards, driver’s licenses and credit cards, among others.

Home Title Monitoring

LifeLock notifies homeowners when there are changes relating to the title of their home, including a change in financing, a new lender or a notice of default.

Stolen Funds Reimbursement

LifeLock also offers a package that includes reimbursement of stolen funds and coverage for lawyers and experts. Here is how the reimbursement works:

  • LifeLock Standard: Reimbursement for stolen funds up to $25,000
  • LifeLock Advantage: Up to $100,000 in stolen funds reimbursement
