Metals Jumping, Silver Exploding Higher

The metals market is much higher today, with silver exploding higher, up the most today. Equities are higher, albeit not as high as they were earlier in the session. Copper is up 0.09 cents to $3.96660, a gain of 0.23%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 5 cents to $51.38. Silver is up sharply, up $1.03 to $40.54, a gain of 2.6%, the best among the metals complex this morning. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV up 52 cents to trade at $39.31, a gain of 1.3%. Gold is up $16.60 an ounce to $1,798.00, a gain of 0.93%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are up 13 cents to $174.54. Platinum is up $23 an ounce, trading at $1,804 an ounce, as it crosses back over $1,800, and overtakes gold as the most expensive metal. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is down 20 cents this morning to trade at $22.68. Palladium is up $9.50 an ounce today, trading at $733 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are up 50 cents to $702.41.
