Metals Lower, Copper Down Sharply

The metals market is much lower today, with again all of the metals down sharply, and copper has given up almost 3% today. Equities are mixed, with the NASDAQ moving into negative territory. Copper is down 9.4 cents to trade at $3.164, a loss of almost 3%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 70 cents to $40.90, a loss of 1.7%. Silver is down 20 cents to $31.08, a loss of 0.64% so far in the session. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are up 4 cents to $30.27, a gain of 0.13%. Gold is down $23.30 an ounce to $1,623.70, a loss of 1.4%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down $1.95 to $157.92. Platinum is down $27.80 an ounce, trading at $1,495.30, a loss of 1.83%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is down $2.34 this morning to trade at $147.75, a loss of 1.56%. Palladium is down $9.90 an ounce today, trading at $598.50, as it has broken $600 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply lower today, down 44 cents to $59.22.
