Rupert Murdoch Feels iPad Is A Game Changer For News Media

According to an article on Guardian.uk, Media Mogul and CEO of News Corp NWS, Rupert Murdoch, praised Apple's AAPL iPad in a conference call with Wall Street analysts and described the device as a "game changer" for news media. Murdoch forecast that eventually "hundreds and hundreds of millions" of similar tablet computers will be sold across the globe. According to Murdoch, the iPad's convenient style may encourage journalism as "We'll have young people reading newspapers." The Australian-born billionaire, whose diverse business portfolio includes the Times, the Sun, the Wall Street Journal, Fox television and the Hollywood studio 20th Century Fox, believes the iPad is the ideal device that can prompt consumers to willingly pay for digital journalism.
