- Agora, Inc. (NASDAQ: API) is set to acquire Easemob, an instant messaging API and cloud service provider in China.
- The acquisition will be an all-cash transaction, but the purchase price remains undisclosed.
- “Easemob perfectly complements our product offerings and will accelerate the realization of our vision in making real-time engagement ubiquitous,” said Agora CEO Tony Zhao.
- The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021.
- Price action: API shares are higher by 1.86% at $55.23 in the pre-market session on the last check Thursday.
