Metals Complex Lower, Silver Down Sharply

The metals market is much lower today, with all of the precious and industrial metals down sharply. Equities are lower, with all three indexes down over 1%. Copper is down 8.5 cents to trade at $3.3095, a loss of 2.5%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 65 cents to $42.86, a loss of 1.5%. Silver is down sharply, down $1.13 to $31.66, a loss of 3.45%, the most among the complex today. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are down 89 cents this morning, to trade at $30.88, a loss of 2.86%. Gold is down $22 an ounce to $1,661.00, a loss of 1.3%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down $1.68 to $161.58. Platinum is down $22.20 an ounce, trading at $1,532.20, a loss of 1.4%. The platinum ETF settings First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index PLTM is down $1.92 this morning to trade at $151.46, a loss of 1.25%. Palladium is down $20.35 an ounce today, trading at $590.75, as it has broken $600 an ounce again this morning. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply lower today, down $1.89 to $58.43.
