A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 86 points to 12,781.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 11.50 points to 1,347.00. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 22.50 points to 2,600.25. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index declined 1.07%, French CAC 40 index fell 0.94%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 1.08% and German DAX 30 index dropped 0.51%. Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average declining 1.49%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 1.65% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 1%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 0.75% and India's Sensex dropped 0.38%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Goldman Sachs upgraded American International Group Inc AIG from “neutral” to “buy.” The target price for AIG has been raised from $31 to $40.
