Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian says that most successful CEOs have the same shared regret: not spending as much time with their kids. Ohanian shared his opinions on Twitter, saying that most CEOs he talks to tell him the same thing: "I wish I’d spent more time with my kids."

The company has been eyeing an IPO in 2023, but recent tensions between Reddit’s leadership and the user community have pushed the IPO plans to the back burner. Fidelity, which is an investor in Reddit, slashed the company’s valuation by more than 40% earlier this summer, TechCrunch reports. 

Ohanian is married to tennis superstar Serena Williams, and the pair have a daughter together, with another child on the way. Ohanian added to his post, saying that this generation’s CEOs seem to have a better understanding of the value of family time, and are able to implement a more balanced work-to-family ratio, Insider reports. 

Other entrepreneurs, like Bill Gates, have talked about working too much at certain points in their life. Steve Jobs infamously spent an extraordinary amount of time working. But, as Ohanian points out, younger generations appear to be more focused on having a healthy work-life balance, and hopefully will not hold the same regrets as the CEOs of yesteryear.
