Donald Trump Jr. And Eric Trump Tease DeFi Project With 'BeDeFiant' Hashtag

Zinger Key Points
  • The hinted project appears connected to real estate mogul Steve Witkoff and his son Zach, both friends of the Trump family.
  • Chase Hero, managing partner of Subify, and associated with the Witkoffs, is speculated to be involved in the project.

Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump have sparked widespread speculation in the crypto world by hinting at a significant announcement related to cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi).

What Happened: Over the past 24 hours, both sons of the former U.S. President took to social media to drop hints about their upcoming venture, The Block reported.

“We're about to shake up the crypto world with something HUGE. Decentralized finance is the future, don't get left behind,” using the hashtag “BeDeFiant,” Donald Trump Jr. tweeted early Wednesday.

Eric Trump had tweeted on Tuesday about his enthusiasm for the crypto sector: “I have truly fallen in love with crypto/DeFi. Stay tuned for a big announcement.”

The posts have generated considerable buzz, with clues suggesting a connection to real estate mogul Steve Witkoff and his son Zach.

Steve Witkoff, a friend of the Trump family who spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July, also posted a message using the BeDeFiant hashtag, which was subsequently reposted by Zach Witkoff.

Adding to the intrigue, both Witkoffs are associated with Chase Hero, a crypto entrepreneur and managing partner of Subify, an OnlyFans competitor with YouTuber and crypto investor Logan Paul as a client.

Paul has also featured Hero on his Impaulsive podcast.

Interestingly, in July, AMG Software Solutions filed trademark applications for the terms “Be DeFiant,” “World Liberty,” and “World Liberty Financial.”

The third trademark is described as providing financial information in the field of decentralized finance (DeFi).

The registered address for AMG Software Solutions matches that of Subify LLC, linking the project to Chase Hero.

Further stirring the pot, Martin Shkreli, the controversial former pharmaceutical executive who claimed involvement in a Trump-themed memecoin in June, posted on Wednesday alleging that the “new Trump project involves” Steve Witkoff and Zak Folkman, a co-founder of Subify.

While the exact details of the project remain under wraps, the involvement of these high-profile figures and the strategic use of social media hints suggest a potentially significant development in the crypto and DeFi space.
