The Dow rose 0.57 percent to 16,065.02, while the NASDAQ composite index climbed 1.34 percent to 4,395.43. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 1.04 percent to 1,884.13. The worst performing industries in the market today are: Silver: This industry declined 2.1 percent by 11:00 am with Fortuna Silver Mines Inc FSM moving down 6.8 percent. Canaccord Genuity downgraded Fortuna Silver Mines from Buy to Hold. Toys & Games: This industry fell 1.4 percent by 11:00 am ET. Mattel, Inc. MAT shares dropped 3.5 percent in today's trading. Mattel shares have gained 13.84 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has dropped 11.22 percent in the same period. Hospitals: The industry dropped 0.8 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Community Health Systems CYH, which declined 29.5 percent. Community Health reported downbeat quarterly results and issued a weak full-year forecast. Metal Fabrication: This industry slipped 0.7 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Tenaris SA (ADR) TS, which fell 2 percent.
