Earnings Preview: Exxon Mobil (XOM)

Exxon Mobil XOM is set to report earnings on Monday before the start of trading, and Wall Street will be paying close attention to what the U.S.'s largest publicly traded company has to say about rising oil prices. Wall Street expects earnings of $1.62 per share on revenues of $99.11 billion. Exxon has not had a $100 billion revenue quarter in some time, and Wall Street is hoping it can surpass the round number. For the full year, Exxon is expected to report earnings of $5.94 per share, with revenues of $384.68 billion. For 2011, Wall Street expects earnings of $6.10 per share on revenues of $450.38 billion. Shares have run up considerably over the past few months, going from around $55 in September to the current price of around $79 per share now, as oil prices continue to move higher. At last check, shares of XOM are down 75 cents to $79.13, a loss of around 1%. The broader markets are taking a huge hit due to political unrest out of Egypt.
